easy html for Squidoo

After a short break from posting on my blog, due to a period of intense training and studying I decided to celebrate with a new lense on Squidoo.
I have been totally seduced by the functionality of this site and the ease with which you can create great content with Video links, photos and tons of modules (helpful content managers).
I designed a lense around the professional aspects of tree care as I have been teaching and training about this for many years and had content ready.
Having inputted the main body of text I hit a bit of a brick wall when it came to adding functionality such as hyperlinks.
And then I discovered a squidoo lense about how to do this......

http://www.squidoo.com/basichtml

I now feel a little closer to understanding html, which I feel is a huge part of successfully leveraging your time on the internet.

The second piece of help with Squidoo that I wanted to share was using html to hyperlink a list in your introduction to each individual text module. I typed a google search on 'where can i find the url for modules in squidoo'but came up with nothing, so started to sort it out myself. It is worth noting that their may be a quicker way!

My result:

If you publish your lense and then view it, a section called "contents at a glance" appears after your intro like so:

If you have constructed your lense with a seperate text module for each bullet point they will appear as seperate links in the "contents at a glance". If you click on one of the links, the url will appear in your browser and you can cut and paste this into the link box as below:

Neuschwannstein

My time leverage has been paying dividends and allowing me to enjoy the things I love. One of them is travelling and especially with my girlfriend.

This is a picture of Neuschwannstein (New Stone Swan) in Bavaria, southern Germany. It is a magnificent castle built by the last Bavarian King. The picture doesn't really capture the passion that went into building this fairytale palace, but when you visit it is truly awesome.

It definately makes it on to the list of majestic places to visit and represents to me a purity of vision, determination and above all imagination.

Visualisation is one of the most important techniques for lasting success but without imagination we have only a blank canvas and no colours to paint it with.

Free your imagination and the sky is the limit!

Greetings from Bayern

Training is training

My favourite quote for some time has been from Mark Twain:

"There is nothing training cannot do, nothing is above its reach"

I have used this in my training sessions by spoonfeeding it to my trainees and repeated it to myself whenever the going gets tough. I find it reminds me that anything is possible, we need only learn how to do it.

Some like to use analogies about eating elephants, bite by bite and taking things step by step but however I put it at the moment....... I'm only 16weeks away from the Dublin Marathon and my legs hurt already!

This photo below is from last year and is taken with Chris Cassidy.

From Kevin Birchall Empowering Irish Entrepeneurs

Running a Marathon is a relatively painful, but very real reminder of the power of training. It requires many of the important things we rely on to achieve wealth, abundance and true freedom:

Commitment to your goals
Visualisation
Discipline
Perseverence
Inner strength
....and just putting one foot in front of the other
Because at the end of the day you will get there!
Lance Armstrong also said “Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.”

Mike Dillard's Free Formula for success

Whilst I was racking up some credits clicking away on Traffic swarm, I stumbled upon a an advert for MLM Traffic formula 2.0. I was sent a link to a video giving away the key steps to trafficformula 1 FREE. Here it is:

http://trafficformulablog.com/launch/36-minute-free-online-dvd/

I like Mike's honest approach to his marketing. The video is basic but gets a message across. His handwriting on the board is terrible, but I'm sure he doesn't care with all that money in the bank!

Please send me your comments and any more info about MLM Traffic formula 1 or 2.0.

Save time writing articles

I have a very hectic schedule with family time, running, cycling and organising my businesses so I've been looking for ways of 'Multi-tasking'. My latest tip allows you to write articles in a fraction of the time and can be done whilst driving or training.

I have a digital voice recorder, capable of storing vast quantities of interesting articles and a piece of software called Dragon. The software can be trained to recognise my accents and does my typing for me. This method of article writing is ideal for anyone that likes articles to read in a very spoken manner. However, when you get used to using it and have programmed punctuation into the software, it can be very effective for professional sounding reports aswell.
Andy, A friend of mine writes 25,000 words per week in report form with his recorder.

One extra little tip is get the machine used to a particular key word for mistakes. Editing is then much easier with the find/replace function in MSWord.

Enjoy!

LinkedIn Questions and Answers

I've just discovered the Questions and Answers section of LinkedIn. It seems to be a great platform for sharing knowledge and generating some traffic by helping people. I found that I was able to use some of the tips that I have picked up in the last few days to assist others. It felt fantastic and also gave me an oppurtunity to get links to my website and other sources out there.I've saved a short message in a word file that I can cut and paste with a personal greeting. It saves a few minutes of typing and leverages my time.

Internet Marketing Exploration - Twitter Tools

I have had a busy week so far exploring the possible avenues for Internet Marketing and 'Attraction Marketing'. So far I've launched the following new Social networking accounts: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Friendfeed. Delving into the full capabilities of these sites is well worth the time and comprises an important aspect of 'building the foundations' of a successful Internet business. Along my path of discovery I started to follow several people of interest on Twitter and received personal emails in return. These often took the form of a welcome note with a link attached to direct me to assistance with the use of Twitter (landing page). I was immediately puzzled as to how these people could send back personal but fairly generic emails. Then I found out that software ia available that will help you with this. Some useful information on twitter add-ons is available at:
